Definitions

Server – the device on which the website of the Law Firm is hosted.

Administrator – the entrepreneur conducting business under the name: Law Firm Łukasz Wędziński, NIP: 5542491274, who gains access to information on the User’s devices.

User – a natural person whose information is accessed by the Administrator on electronic devices.

Device – an electronic device along with software through which the User gains access to the Administrator’s Service.

Cookies (also known as “cookies”) – text data collected in the form of files placed on the User’s Device and intended for using the website pages of the Service. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device, and a unique number. Cookies are divided into two basic types:

  1. session cookies – temporary files that are stored on the User’s end device until they leave the website or turn off the software (e.g. web browser);
  2. persistent cookies – files that are stored on the User’s end device for a specified period in the parameters of these files or until they are deleted by the User. These files are not automatically deleted after the session ends, unless the User’s Device parameters are set to delete Cookie files after the session ends.

Purpose and Function of the Cookie Policy

Cookies are used to adjust the content of the Service’s websites to the User’s preferences and needs and to optimize the principles of using the websites. In particular, cookies allow recognizing the User’s Device and properly displaying the website, tailored to their individual needs, to develop statistics that allow obtaining information on how Service Users use the websites. Gathering information about the User’s needs contributes to improving the structure and content of websites;

Cookies are also used to collect information on how the Service’s websites are used to create statistics that help understand how Service users use the websites, which allows improving their structure and content;

 

Cookie Operation Rules

In many cases, the software used by the User to browse websites, e.g., web browsers, by default, stores cookies on the User’s end device. Service Users can make changes to cookie settings at any time. The change may involve blocking the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings or notifying the User each time cookies are placed on the User’s Device. The Service Operator informs that introducing restrictions on the use of cookies may affect some functionalities available on the Service’s websites.

Cookies contained on the User’s end device may also be used by entities cooperating with the Service operator.
